Eye of God (c. 1800)

Rare icon "All-seeing eye of God" - Russia, around 1800, egg tempera over chalk ground on wood. A symbolic representation of Christ, the Holy Spirit and God the Father with evangelist symbols and cherubim, and Slavonic inscription. It is a single panel with two back sponki missing. The edges and Back inscribed in Cyrillic (scratched), including "Khokhlikha 94" and "Ivanow",
